GEMS Connect, for parents
GEMS Connect (connect.gemseducation.com) is the shared parent app for GEMS Education schools in the UAE. It is the admin side of school life: fees, circulars, documents, transport and forms. Academic marks usually sit in PowerSchool or the school's other SIS — not here.
What you will find in Connect
- Fee reminders and balances — tuition instalments, registration charges, outstanding amounts.
- Circulars and notices — whole-school announcements the office posts for parents.
- Document / profile gaps — passport, Emirates ID or medical forms the school still wants.
- Alerts — short system notices that are easy to miss if you only open the app on Sunday.
Login is a school username and password, or “Login with Email” and a one-time code. ParentHub uses the same parent login, read-only.
Connect is not the gradebook
If you are looking for last week's maths mark or whether Period 1 was marked absent, that is almost always PowerSchool (or the school's equivalent). Connect will not replace that screen. The useful split for a GEMS family is:
- PowerSchool — academic and attendance
- GEMS Connect — money, circulars, missing paperwork
- Email — the same news, plus teacher letters that never get posted
How ParentHub uses it
After you connect GEMS Connect in setup, ParentHub signs in on the nightly run and keeps fee reminders, new circulars and document alerts. Payment items stay visible until the portal no longer shows a balance. Circulars are dated and, when the same letter also arrived by email, shown as one item with both sources underneath.
ParentHub never pays a fee, never submits a form and never writes back to the school. Disconnecting the portal deletes the stored password immediately.
